Pint of Science bringt Wissenschaftler in lokale Kneipen, um mit den Zuhörern ihre neuesten Forschungen und Erkenntnisse zu besprechen. Vorkenntnisse sind hierfür nicht nötig.

Computer Vision is the field of Artificial Intelligence that tries to understand what vision is, hence, answer the question “What does a system need to be able to see?”.
The talk at Pint of Science on 07.09.2020 presents and discusses technologies and application examples of Computer Vision. These include object recognition as well as situation and scene understanding, their applications in labs and industry, and their underlying technologies from neural networks to logical inferences. Starting from these results, insights about the origin of vision will be discussed.
