Intelligent Systems

The field of expertise “Intelligent Systems” (IS) emerged from the “Artificial Intelligence Laboratory”, where – since its inception in 1988 – innovative Artificial Intelligence methods have been developed and applied in cooperations with companies. Characteristics for the work of IS are scientifically based approaches, equally oriented towards practical goals. The rich experiences of IS range from Expert Systems, Configuration and Diagnostics, Monitoring and Event Recognition, to Cognitive Systems, Deep Learning, Big Data, Knowledge Discovery and other current topics of Artificial Intelligence. IS offers the preparation of feasability studies as well as the development of prototype systems in direct partnership with companies. In addition, IS is often a partner in funded projects, especially in the EU funding programmes.
