The competence area „Information Systems“ has been working in close collaboration with the chair of Information Systems (HARCIS – Hamburg Research Center for Information Systems) at the University of Hamburg since 2004. Its goal is the transfer of research results in the field of digitalisation in the context of both economics, as well as administration. Subjects of the transfer projects are always application scenarios like Smart Services and Industry 4.0, coupled with new technologies such as process- or blockchain technology. The working group actively pursues the acquisition and completion of third party funded projects on both state and federal levels, as well as the realisation of industry projects in the Hamburg metropolitan area. A central focus lies in the support of young companies (startups) throughout their founding-, as well as growth phases.
